Amazon Prime Day 2021: When it starts, what’s on sale, shopping tips

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two days of more than 2 million deals from Amazon starts Monday during Prime Day 2021.

It will feature something for everyone, Amazon said in its press release — from tech lovers and fashionistas to college students and even pets, the 48-hour sale will give Prime members everything they need for a summer of fun.

Here’s what to know.

What time does it start?

The savings extravaganza starts on Monday, June 21 at 3 a.m. Eastern time, and ends on Wednesday, June 23 at 2:59 a.m.

Do I need to be an Amazon Prime member?

Yes, you need to be a Prime member to cash in on the savings. If you’re not a Prime member yet, anyone can join and start a 30-day free trial at amazon.com/primeday to participate in Prime Day, get access to fast and free shipping, and enjoy entertainment benefits, like Prime Video, Prime Music, and more.

What will the sale look like?

Prime Day 2021 will feature the largest number of deals in the shopping event’s seven year history, Amazon said.

Members can shop featured lightning deals, which offer jaw-dropping prices on top-tier brands, categories, and products. Deals could sell out fast, so check frequently to find new deals launching throughout the 48-hour event.

What are some deals I can get?

There will be plenty of deals on a variety of items, including electronics, clothing, decor, patio, furniture, kitchen, and smart home devices.

You’ll be able to save on select HP products and select laptops, desktops, and monitors from brands like Acer, ASUS, and LG. Save up to 40% on Amazon Basics electronics, 40% on select Sony and JBL headphones, up to 20% on 4K TVs from top brands, and 25% on Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit Mario and Luigi editions from Nintendo.

During Prime Day, you can save 38% on a bundle featuring the latest smart lock from August, the Smart Lock Pro, and a 3rd Gen Echo Dot and 30% on select smart home devices from TP Link, Sengled, GE, Sylvania, and more.

Select SodaStream Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker bundles, Hestan ProBond Collection Cookware Sets, Stasher Reusable Storage, Dash Chef Series Immersion Hand Blenders will see sales, as well as up to 40% on kitchen products from Amazon Basics.

There will be deals up to 40% off on furniture from Amazon brands like Rivet, Stone & Beam, and Amazon Basics.
